Dear SMDP Parishioners, Due to the current Covid-19 health crisis, The Archdiocese of Chicago announced today that Cardinal Cupich has mandated the suspension of all liturgical services until further notice. Santa Maria del Popolo announces the following:
- Public Mass celebration is suspended beginning Saturday, 3/14 until further notice.
- All meetings and activities will be cancelled until March 30th.
- Although Mass will not be celebrated for this period of time please consider options for personal prayer and also maintaining your weekly giving to support the parish. We will continue to post options for personal prayer at the parish website.
- Religious Education, RCIA and all other ministry groups are cancelled. All classes, sessions and meetings are to be cancelled regardless of the number of attendees/participants.

Church Open for Personal Prayer
Our parish maintenance staff will continue to ensure our parish campus is thoroughly cleaned.
The church will also remain open for personal prayer throughout the week:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Chapel Saturday from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Church Sunday from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Chapel and Church
